1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website when you visit it. Cookies enable a website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to store information about your preferences or activity. Similar technologies — such as web beacons, pixels, local storage and software development kits — perform comparable functions. In this notice, references to "cookies" include those similar technologies.
2. The legal framework
The placing of cookies on your device, and the reading of information already stored there, is governed by Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the "ePrivacy Directive") as transposed into UK law by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Personal data derived from cookies is additionally governed by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the Website may be set without your consent. All other cookies are set only after you have given consent through our cookie banner or a subsequent adjustment of your preferences.
3. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies — enable core functionality such as page navigation, session state, cookie-preference storage and protection against cross-site request forgery. Without these cookies the Website cannot function properly.
- Analytics cookies — allow us to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Website, so that we can improve its content and performance. These cookies do not directly identify you and are set only with your consent.
- Marketing and measurement cookies — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to construct advertising audiences. These cookies may be set by us or by trusted third-party advertising partners, and are set only with your consent.
- Functional cookies — remember choices you make (such as language) to provide a more personalised experience. Set only with your consent where they are not strictly necessary.

5. Meta Pixel and Conversions API
Where you have consented to marketing cookies, we deploy the Meta Pixel (a JavaScript tracking snippet) and the Meta Conversions API (a server-to-server integration) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. These technologies transmit event information — such as page views and form submissions — to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, together with hashed identifiers where available. We and Meta act as joint controllers for that transmission, as described in Meta's Controller Addendum. Meta acts as an independent controller for the subsequent use of the data.
You can control how Meta uses information about you through the advertising preferences in your Facebook and Instagram accounts, and through the industry opt-out tools listed in section 7.
6. Managing your preferences
When you first visit the Website you are presented with a cookie banner offering you the ability to accept all non-essential cookies, reject them, or configure them by category. You can change your preferences at any time by:
- reopening the cookie banner from the link at the bottom of any page;
- clearing cookies for our domain in your browser, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit;
- contacting us at privacy@rrh-advisory.com and asking us to record a specific preference.
7. Browser controls

You can opt out of interest-based advertising by the participating companies listed by the European Digital Advertising Alliance at youronlinechoices.eu, or by the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.
8. Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control
Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out from the sale or sharing of personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because no uniform standard for interpreting "Do-Not-Track" signals has been agreed, we do not currently respond to those signals separately.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The version number and effective date at the top of this notice indicate the most recent revision.
